Kuwait City: The Minister of Public Works and the Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, Dr. Amani Bouqmaz, is planning to reverse some decisions, according to knowledgeable sources in the ministry. According to the sources, Bouqmaz started to reconsider the choice to name a few assistant undersecretaries who were tasked with taking over the duties of a few ministry departments during earlier times.

The decision to transfer the director of the minister's office was made by the acting undersecretary, Muhammad bin Nakhy, in accordance with Minister Bouqmaz's instructions. However, the Civil Service Commission has asked the acting Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial and Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Public Works, Muhammad Al-Barbar, to revoke that decision. According to the sources, Khaled Al-Shammari, head of the CSC's Employment Affairs Control Unit, formally requested the Ministry of Works to reverse its decision to stop appointing people to leadership and supervisory positions and to stop transfers, delegations, and secondments as well as to address the effects of this moratorium, which is in violation of Cabinet Resolution No. 432 and CSC Circular No. 8 of 2022.
