ITALIAN FOREIGN MINISTRY PRAISES BILATERAL RELATIONS AND CULTURAL COOPERATIONS WITH KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Secretary-General of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ettore Sequi, praised the excellent level of Italian-Kuwaiti relations and promising cultural cooperation, which his country aspires to develop, appreciating Italy's hosting of the Kuwaiti Book Fair.


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on its website today, Friday, that this came in the meeting of the Ministry's Secretary General, Ambassador Sekoi, with the new Ambassador of the State of Kuwait in Rome, Nasser Sunhat Al-Qahtani, at the ministry's headquarters on Thursday.

The statement indicated that the Secretary-General reviewed with Ambassador Al-Qahtani during the meeting the excellent bilateral relations and prospects for their development, expressing his special appreciation for cooperation in the cultural field as it is also a sector capable of expansion in light of Italy's participation in the book fair that will be held in Kuwait from November 16-26.

He stressed that the Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry pointed out that "our country's participation as a guest of honor in the exhibition, as in the United Kingdom in 2019, France in 2018, and the United States in 2017, with the recent publications of the cultural event constitutes an important opportunity to strengthen the Italian cultural and linguistic presence in Kuwait."

The statement stated that the ambassadors, Sekowi and Al-Qahtani also discussed the possibilities of economic cooperation and the exploitation of the opportunities that will be generated by the "New Kuwait 2035" strategy, with special reference to sustainable development.
