60s AND OLDER EXPATS WITH NO DEGREES ARE LEAVING KUWAIT IN LARGE NUMBERS

Kuwait City: According to the most recent data from the Public Authority for Civil Information, 15,724 expatriates aged 60 and up who do not hold university degrees have left the country. This indicates that the pace of demographic adjustment and the elimination of labour market imbalances is quickening.


According to statistics, the number of expatriates aged 60 and up without a university degree totaled 82,598 in the middle of this year, compared to 98,598 in the same period in 2021. The number of expatriates 60 and older with university and postgraduate degrees who left the country reached 1,664 this year, compared to 14,544 in the middle of this year and 16,208 in the middle of 2021.
