IN KUWAIT, 30,000 TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS DETECTED IN ONE WEEK

Kuwait City: The traffic and operations sector conducted strict checks in various areas of the country. The inspection was conducted under the supervision of Major General Jamal Al Sayegh, Assistant Undersecretary for Operations and Traffic Affairs at the Ministry of Interior and the field supervision of General Traffic Department Director General Major General Yousef Al Khadda and General Department of Emergency Police Brigadier General Faris Al Qahtani.


A total of 30,000 traffic violations were detected during the inspection campaign. 64 people were arrested for reckless driving. 16 vehicles and 51 motorcycles were shifted to the detention garage. 34 minors were arrested for driving without driving license. They were referred to juvenile prosecution. Officials informed that the traffic patrol department handled 1556 minor vehicle accidents and 255 serious accidents within a week.
