KUWAIT RAILWAY ; RAIL CONTRACT WORTH RS 1 MILLION APPROVED

Kuwait City: Permission to start the processes for creating the first round of rail tender documents worth $1,000,000 The Procurement Committee of the Ministry of Public Works has agreed to submit the project for in-depth research and design work, according to information provided by the Roads and Land Transport Public Authority.


Prior to this, the finance ministry had approved the start of the first phase study and preliminary design of the railway tender documents, subject to the estimates contained in the authority's draught budget for the fiscal year 2022–2023. 

However, the Ministry of Finance had stipulated that the process of awarding the contract should not take place until after the issuance of a law binding the authority's budget for the said financial year. The central tender agency will soon launch a tender for study and design work before the consulting offices to finalize the project documents, sources said.
