ROADS IN KHAITAN AND JLEEB WILL BE MAINTAINED UNDER CONTRACT

Kuwait City: The Public Authority for Roads and Land Transportation (PART) has signed contract No. 5i/227 for the building and upkeep of a number of roads and services in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area and the Khaitan area near the administrative and commercial centre. The project was designed by Kuwaiti engineering cadres in the PART's Roads Design Department, according to reliable sources.


A technical staff of Kuwaiti engineers connected to the authority will be in charge of overseeing the execution of the contract work. The project aims to improve traffic flow in the Khaitan area's administrative and commercial centre and to provide enough parking spaces for locals and tourists alike. 

It also aims to serve the new Khaitan police station and the rest of the commercial complexes, through the duplication of the main roads surrounding the area to accommodate four lanes (two lanes in each direction) with the work of a median strip (traffic island) separating the two sides instead of the current situation (one lane for each direction) without a separator.
