Kuwait City: As a widespread issue that has a negative impact on students' academic performance and social development, violence and bullying in schools calls for a team effort from experts to develop practical solutions to stop their spread. Violence in the classroom, according to the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), is a blatant violation of the education and health of children and adolescents.

The first Thursday in November has been designated as the International Day against Violence and Bullying at School, Including Cyberbullying, as a result of a press release from UNESCO Member States, which acknowledges that school-related violence in all of its forms violates the rights of children and adolescents to an education as well as to their health and well-being. In order to help promote and facilitate international day, the statement also calls on member states, UN partners, other pertinent international and regional organisations, civil society, including nongovernmental organisations, individuals, and other stakeholders.

To encourage everyone to take part in preventing online violence for the safety and wellbeing of children and youth, this day brings it to the attention of students, parents, educators, community members, education authorities, and a variety of sectors and partners, including the tech industry.  Kuwait University’s Dr. Nasser Al-Munai said that there are different types of bullying, whether verbal, physical, material all comes from the main cause, inside the family and the way parents teach their children, in addition to peer pressure to continue bullying if there was no response to it.
