INDIAN EMBASSY HOSTS "KARNATAKA RAJYOTSAVA"

Kuwait City: In order to highlight the tourism and investment potential of Karnataka, the Indian Embassy in Kuwait organised a state-sponsored event called "Karnataka Rajyotsava" that featured an ODOP (One District One Product) exhibition of products from Karnataka, the Hampi Festival, cultural and performing arts, as well as textiles and handicrafts from the State of Karnataka. 


In her opening remarks, Chargé d'Affaires Ms. Smita Patil emphasised the State of Karnataka's potential for economic growth, foreign investment, and tourism and urged Kuwaitis and Indian friends in Kuwait to travel to Karnataka. She claimed that Karnataka is a cutting-edge industrial state that is well known for producing Bangalore silk, sandalwood, furniture, soap, oil, talcum powder, and incense sticks. She claimed that the State, which is at the forefront of technological advancement, is renowned for its contribution to software and service exports, much like it is renowned in India as the home of coffee. 

It is among India's top states contributing to the electronic industry, India's second-largest producer of special purpose and heavy electrical machinery, the country's fourth-largest automaker, and India's largest software exporter, highlighting Bangalore as one of the world's hubs for technological innovation and startups. It also takes pride in being a key operational hub for 400 Fortune 500 companies.
