TOXICOLOGY CENTER'S HEADQUARTERS WILL BE IN AMIRI HOSPITAL

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Health wants to make investments to ease the strain on the healthcare system after general indicators have improved and there have been fewer cases of the Corona virus in public hospitals and specialised centres overall for some time. The Kuwait Poison Treatment Center is one of the projects that the Ministry of Health is getting ready to launch in the upcoming phase. 


Before the Corona crisis broke out in February 2020, the idea of poison treatment centres was first proposed about 4 years ago. However, because toxicology is one of the more advanced fields in the region for dealing with cases of chemical and radiological cases, including chemical and biological weapons, as well as cases of poisoning and overdose among adults and children, especially those caused by consumption of adulterated and counterfeit alcohol, its implementation largely failed.
