CALL FOR KUWAITIZATION OF JUDICIAL AUTHORITY

Kuwait City: Several MPs praised Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al-positive Sabah's response to their request to postpone the selection of trainees for promotion to rank officers in order to give all applicants a chance to complete the requirements in accordance with the equal opportunities principle and to allow the greatest number of Kuwaiti youths to apply.

Along with Khalid Al-Otaibi, Muhammad Hadi Al-Hewaila, Soud Al-Asfour, Hani Shams, Abdullah Fehad, Shuaib Al-Muwaizri, and Khalil Al-Saleh, these MPs also include Abdullah Fehad. Another development was the criticism of the selection of only 60 new Kuwaiti public prosecutors by MPs Adel Al-Damkhi and Khalil Al-Saleh. In order to meet the demands on the one hand and support the implementation of the government's Kuwaitization policy on the other, they called for raising this number. Al-Damkhi emphasised the need to Kuwaitize the judicial system, and that this process should begin with more public prosecutors. He argued that it is unacceptable that so many deserving graduates spent years on the waiting list for employment only to be turned down.
