The “Gulf Society towards a changing world” conference warned of the increase in rates of influx of expatriate workers in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, noting that citizens, due to labor migration processes, have turned into a minority in their societies, which is a threat to national identity.
In his speech during the opening of the conference yesterday confirmed that the specter of unemployment is considered one of the main challenges that Gulf society faces from Economic and social aspects, adding that there is a decrease in the unemployment rate out of the total population, because the overwhelming majority of the workforce are mainly foreigners. Unemployment rate of citizens was very high.
