A boat from Kuwait in the Arabian Sea near the Gateway of India was intercepted by a patrolling team of Mumbai Police on Tuesday evening. After intercepting the boat with three individuals on board, the police initiated an investigation, as stated by an official. The news agency PTI reported that no suspicious items were discovered on the boat.
The detainees claimed that they were employed by a fishing company and had allegedly experienced torture and exploitation by their employer. As a result, the fishermen resorted to stealing their employer's vessel after their passports were confiscated.
