Security sources have disclosed that approximately 670,000 people, mostly expatriates, still need to finish their biometric registration within the given timeframe. The Ministry of Interior has officially started a three-month period, beginning on Friday, March 1st. Not complying with this mandate will result in the halt of several transactions, including renewals for residency permits, vehicle registrations, and driver’s licenses. Reports suggest that since the launch of the biometric project last year, a total of 1.78 million citizens and expatriates have completed the registration process.
