The Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister, and Acting Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousuf Al-Sabah announced in an interview with Kuwait News Agency that the Interior Ministry is currently examining a proposal to grant residency violators the option to either depart Kuwait or regularize their status during a three-month amnesty period in March, April, and May.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousuf Al-Sabah emphasized that after benefiting from the amnesty, violators can request a visa to re-enter Kuwait through legal and authorized channels. However, he cautioned that those who fail to do so will be placed on a blacklist. He urged individuals who are in violation of residency regulations to make use of this opportunity provided by the law, or else they will face permanent expulsion from Kuwait.
