Ministry of Justice intends to issue magnetic card for marriage contracts

The Sharia Documentation Department at the Ministry of Justice intends to issue a “magnetic card” for marriage contracts, within the framework of enhancing electronic services and making it easier for auditors in various government agencies.


An official source in the administration revealed that “the new service is optional, and does not substitute for issuing paper marriage contracts and documenting them in accordance with the law,” explaining that “issuing the magnetic card is optional for the couple, according to fees that will be determined later, and that it will be the size of a civil card and will have security features.”
