During the holy month of Ramadan, security sources have reported that various departments within the Ministry of Interior, such as Public Security, Traffic, Operations, and Criminal Investigations, have been mobilized to address the issue of traffic congestion and apprehend individuals involved in illegal activities, including beggars. These measures are particularly focused on locations such as markets, stores, and mosques.

It has been emphasized that any expatriate found begging will face deportation, and their sponsor's file will be flagged. The ministry's leadership has issued clear instructions to enforce strict measures in order to tackle this issue, which tends to escalate during Ramadan.
