A new practice has been launched by the Ministry of Interior for specialised companies to provide 2 million Smart Market licenses and printing supplies to GDT. The Interior Ministry had decided three months ago to switch to electronic driving licenses for residents in the country, starting from December 10, 2023. This decision eliminates the requirement for physical printing.
Renewals can now be conveniently completed online through the Ministry of Interior's official website and the "Sahl" unified government electronic services application. Those who fulfill the necessary criteria and adhere to the regulations will have their applications accepted electronically, and their licenses will be activated using the Ministry of Interior's dedicated "My Identity" application.
