Ministry of Health spokesman, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, announced the availability of a pregnant Kuwaiti employee whose pregnancy has reached 30 weeks to submit a request to obtain sick leave for the remaining period of pregnancy through the unified government application Sahl.
Dr. Al-Sanad reiterated that the decision came from the belief of the Minister of Health and the Council of Obstetrics and Gynecology Departments in the importance of providing all means of care and protection to pregnant female employees, especially since some professional activities at work may not be appropriate to the progress of the months of pregnancy.
