Dubai Municipality Designates Family-Only Beaches for New Year’s Eve

Dubai Municipality has set aside four public beaches as family-only zones during the New Year’s Eve period, from December 31, 2025, to January 1, 2026. The beaches—Jumeirah Beach 2, Jumeirah Beach 3, Umm Suqeim Beach 1, and Umm Suqeim Beach—will be accessible only to families in a move aimed at ensuring a secure and relaxed recreational environment amid increased public movement during the festivities.

Families planning to visit these beaches are encouraged to arrive early and follow all posted guidelines to help manage crowd flow and ensure a comfortable experience. The initiative is part of Dubai’s broader strategy to organize public spaces during major events, balancing high visitor numbers with safety and family-friendly atmospheres.

Alternative beach and leisure options across the city remain open to all residents and tourists, allowing for even distribution of visitors along Dubai’s coastline. This approach aims to prevent overcrowding while preserving the family-focused character of the designated beaches and maintaining accessibility to public recreational spaces.

The family-only beach policy reflects Dubai’s ongoing commitment to inclusive and safe public environments, especially during peak holiday periods. By implementing targeted access measures, the municipality seeks to enhance visitor well-being, reinforce public safety, and support a positive experience for families celebrating the arrival of the new year.
