Kuwait Denies Claims of Jail, Fine for Hosting ‘Gabga’ Without Licence

Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has denied social media claims that organising a “gabga” gathering without a licence could lead to six months in jail and a fine of 1,000 dinars. Authorities said the information circulating online is completely false and that no such decision or statement has been issued.

The ministry urged the public to verify the accuracy of information before sharing it and to rely only on official channels for security-related announcements. Officials warned against spreading unverified news and asked residents to avoid reposting rumours that could cause confusion.
