Minor Fire Reported at Western Doha Station After Drone Interception

A small fire broke out at the Western Doha Power and Water Desalination Station after shrapnel fell on one of the facility’s fuel tanks during drone interception operations.

Authorities confirmed that the incident occurred while air defence systems were responding to hostile drones. The falling debris caused a limited fire within the station premises.

No injuries were reported, and only minor material damage was recorded.

The fire was quickly brought under control by emergency response teams. Technical inspection and assessment procedures are currently underway to ensure the safety and operational integrity of all units and equipment at the facility.
