Drone strikes ignite fires at Bahrain energy and petrochemical sites

Fires broke out at key petrochemical and energy facilities in Bahrain after Iranian drone strikes early Sunday, impacting operational units and storage infrastructure.

The Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company confirmed that several of its units were affected during the incident. All fires have since been extinguished, and authorities have brought the situation under control. No casualties were reported, while teams continue to assess the extent of the damage.

At a separate site, BAPCO Energies reported a fire at one of its storage facilities following what it described as a hostile drone strike. The blaze was quickly contained, with no injuries recorded. Damage evaluation is currently underway.

Emergency response teams at both locations acted swiftly, working in coordination with Civil Defence and government authorities to secure the sites. Both companies reiterated that employee safety remains their top priority.
