Saudi Arabia Starts Hajj 2027 Preparations to Enhance Pilgrim Services

Makkah: Saudi Arabia has officially begun early preparations for the 2027 Hajj season, with authorities focusing on improving planning, strengthening coordination among government agencies and enhancing services for pilgrims.

The initial planning discussions were held over three days through cooperation between the Makkah Principality Agency for Hajj and Umrah Affairs and the Hajj Projects Management Office. Representatives from 60 government agencies involved in Hajj operations participated in the meetings.

The discussions were held under the supervision of Prince Saud bin Mishaal, Deputy Governor of the Makkah Region. Officials reviewed the performance of the 2026 Hajj season and discussed ways to build on its achievements while addressing areas that require further improvement.

Authorities said the main objectives include strengthening operational plans, improving coordination between participating agencies, enhancing precautionary measures and ensuring faster responses to potential challenges during future Hajj seasons.

The meetings also focused on developing proactive strategies to maintain high-quality services for pilgrims and improve overall efficiency in managing one of the world’s largest annual religious gatherings.

Saudi authorities said the early planning process reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to continuously improving the Hajj experience through better organisation, preparedness and inter-agency cooperation.
