New Delhi: Subrahmanyam Jaishankar will undertake an official visit to Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman from July 5 to 10, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced.
During the Gulf tour, Dr. Jaishankar will hold meetings with his counterparts and the leadership of the four countries to strengthen bilateral relations and discuss regional developments and issues of mutual interest.
Following the Gulf visit, the External Affairs Minister will travel to New York, where he will officially launch India’s campaign for a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council for the 2028–29 term on July 13.
He will then visit Brussels on July 14–15 to participate in the third India–EU Trade and Technology Council meeting and hold discussions with officials from the European Union and Belgium.
The multi-nation visit is aimed at strengthening India’s diplomatic engagement with Gulf countries, advancing its global partnerships and supporting its international priorities.
