UAE Interior Ministry Reviews Emergency Readiness Plans

Dubai: The UAE’s Ministry of Interior has reviewed its emergency preparedness and operational readiness framework during a joint coordination meeting aimed at strengthening the country’s security and crisis response capabilities.

The meeting, held at the Dubai Police Academy, brought together the Standing Committee for Operations Affairs, the Federal Readiness and Preparedness Assessment Team, operations and crisis managers, and senior officers. It was chaired by Brigadier Dr. Salem Al Habsi, Deputy Director-General of Federal Central Operations.

Participants discussed security plans, business continuity strategies, and the federal readiness and preparedness assessment system. They also reviewed mechanisms for conducting security exercises and operational scenarios to enhance emergency response.

The meeting explored the use of artificial intelligence, smart systems and modern technologies to improve readiness, strengthen risk forecasting, enhance data analysis and support faster, more effective decision-making during emergencies.

Officials also stressed the importance of aligning preparedness efforts with the UAE government’s digital transformation and innovation agenda, while improving coordination among relevant agencies to reinforce national resilience.

The Ministry of Interior said the initiative forms part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s security system, enhance operational readiness and ensure rapid, coordinated responses to emergencies in line with international best practices.
