Sharjah: Drivers visiting Aljada in Sharjah will now have to pay for parking in selected streets, parking lots and retail areas following the launch of a smart ticketless parking system on July 15.
The new system has been introduced through a partnership between Parkin and Arada, marking Parkin’s first parking operation in Sharjah. It uses Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology to record vehicles entering and leaving parking areas without requiring physical tickets or barriers.
Parking Charges
On-street parking (East Boulevard): Dh6.30 per hour (including VAT), available 24 hours a day.
Off-street parking and parking lots: Dh4.20 per hour (including VAT), applicable from 8am to midnight.
Retail parking at The Boulevard, Tiraz and Misk: First two hours free, followed by Dh10 per hour.
Residents will continue using the parking spaces allocated under their Sale and Purchase Agreements or Title Deeds. Any additional parking beyond those allocations will be subject to the new paid parking tariffs.
Eligible users can also purchase seasonal parking subscriptions through Parkin’s digital platform.
Visitors can make payments using Parkin’s existing digital payment channels, while the ANPR system automatically identifies vehicles using their number plates.
The companies said the new system is designed to improve parking availability, traffic flow and space management across Aljada, one of Sharjah’s largest mixed-use communities.
