Beijing: China has developed more than 400 complete humanoid robot products, accounting for over half of the world’s total, underscoring the country’s growing leadership in the global robotics industry.
According to official data released by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the country’s robotics sector has continued to expand rapidly, driven by advances in artificial intelligence, manufacturing and automation technologies.
The ministry also reported that China-developed quadruped robots accounted for nearly 70 per cent of global sales during the first half of 2026, further strengthening the country’s position in the international robotics market.
The latest figures highlight China’s continued investment in intelligent manufacturing and emerging technologies, with humanoid and quadruped robots increasingly being deployed across industries including manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, research and public services.
Industry experts believe the sustained growth of China’s robotics sector will further accelerate innovation and strengthen the country’s competitiveness in the rapidly evolving global automation market.
