Kuwait Commerce Ministry Busts Warehouse for Commercial Fraud

KUWAIT CITY, Aug. 3: Kuwait’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry has uncovered a warehouse in the Capital Governorate involved in commercial fraud during a surprise inspection.

Officials seized 411 cosmetic and cream products along with 3,500 counterfeit labels used to alter product information, replace original packaging, and change expiry dates before the items were placed on the market.

Inspectors also found discarded original packaging, confirming that products had been repackaged to mislead consumers. In addition, unlicensed medical creams not approved by the Ministry of Health were confiscated.

The ministry said the violations breach the GCC Unified Law on Combating Commercial Fraud and confirmed that legal action has been taken against those responsible.
