Kuwait Announces Temporary Road Closure Until August 9

Kuwait’s General Traffic Department has announced the temporary closure of a section of Omar Bin Al-Khattab Road as part of ongoing road maintenance works. The closure affects traffic travelling from Abdullah Al-Mubarak Road towards the Ministries Complex and will remain in place until Sunday, August 9.

Authorities said the temporary traffic restriction is necessary to allow construction and maintenance works to be completed safely and efficiently. Motorists travelling through the area have been advised to use alternative routes and strictly follow traffic signs and instructions from officers at the site.

Drivers have also been urged to plan their journeys in advance, particularly during peak hours, to avoid delays. The works form part of wider road improvement projects being carried out across Kuwait to provide safer and more efficient road infrastructure.
