Kuwait is expected to experience extremely hot weather this weekend, with temperatures in some areas potentially reaching 50°C, according to the Meteorological Department. Strong northwesterly winds could also trigger dusty conditions and reduce visibility in exposed areas.
The department said the influence of the Indian monsoon low-pressure system is contributing to the hot and dry conditions, with no major change in the weather expected in the coming days. Humidity is also likely to increase in coastal areas from Saturday, which could make the heat feel more uncomfortable.
Authorities have advised residents to avoid direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours and take necessary precautions against the extreme temperatures. Outdoor workers have been urged to stay particularly cautious, drink sufficient water and take regular breaks to avoid heat-related problems.
