Sharjah Receives Rain as Unstable Weather Continues Across UAE

Rain fell in Al Madam on August 8 as unstable weather continued across parts of the UAE, with further showers expected in the coming days. Moderate to heavy rain was also recorded in several areas on August 7, accompanied by dense dust and sandstorms that reduced visibility on some roads.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said the unsettled conditions are expected to continue until August 11 due to a surface low-pressure system extending from the east and a weak upper-level low. Convective clouds are likely to develop over eastern and southern areas and extend into some inland regions, bringing chances of rainfall.

Winds are expected to be light to moderate but could become fresh to strong during cloud activity, with gusts reaching up to 50 km/h. Dust and blowing sand may further reduce visibility, while humidity could increase during the night and early morning. Motorists have been advised to exercise caution during periods of rain and poor visibility.
