Kuwait will observe a public holiday on Thursday, August 27, to mark the Prophet Mohammed’s Birthday, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced. The holiday follows a Cabinet decision concerning the Prophet’s Birthday for the year 1448 Hijri.
The holiday will apply to employees of government departments and public institutions. Authorities responsible for essential services and departments operating under special schedules will make the necessary arrangements to ensure that services continue to the public during the holiday.
Government entities will provide employees with further details regarding working arrangements and the resumption of normal operations following the official holiday.
