UAE residents can expect fair to partly cloudy weather on Saturday, August 15, with clouds developing at times over northern and eastern areas, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). The NCM issued red and yellow alerts in some areas early in the morning, warning of reduced visibility of less than 1,000 metres.
Temperatures are expected to fall slightly in some coastal areas, although conditions will remain hot across the country. Temperatures could reach 48°C in some areas, with highs of around 44°C in Abu Dhabi and 43°C in Dubai. Humidity is expected to increase overnight and on Sunday morning in some coastal areas, with a chance of mist formation.
Winds will be light to moderate, initially southeasterly before shifting northwesterly, and may become fresh at times. Speeds are expected to reach 10–20 km/h, with gusts of up to 35 km/h. Sea conditions will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
