Kuwait has formed special field teams across all governorates to monitor bachelor accommodation in private and model residential areas and identify violations. The teams will conduct inspections alongside existing bachelor housing committees, with the aim of preventing housing arrangements that affect the social and demographic character of family residential neighbourhoods.
The inspection teams will coordinate with the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Public Authority for Manpower and Public Authority for Environment. This coordination is intended to ensure that violations are identified and addressed quickly. Regular reports will also be submitted detailing inspection results and buildings where violations are found.
Authorities warned that property owners found renting homes in private residential areas to bachelors could face strict action. Measures may include financial penalties and, where necessary, disconnection of electricity services from properties found to be in violation of regulations.
