Saudi Arabia has announced a new procedure allowing eligible highly skilled expatriate workers to bring certain family members into the Kingdom while their employment visa procedures are being completed.
The measure was announced by the Saudi Ministry of Interior as part of efforts to improve the quality of life for residents in the country.
The new procedure is being implemented in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
Under the new rules, eligible skilled expatriate workers can bring their wives, sons under the age of 25 and unmarried daughters to Saudi Arabia.
If all application requirements are met, entry visas for eligible family members can be issued alongside the completion of the skilled worker’s employment visa procedures.
The Ministry of Interior stated that once family members arrive in Saudi Arabia, their residency procedures can be completed in accordance with the Kingdom’s existing laws and regulations.
The new measure is intended to make it easier for eligible skilled expatriate workers to relocate with their families and support broader efforts to improve living conditions for residents.
Applicants will still be required to meet the relevant eligibility and documentation requirements before the family entry visas can be issued.
