Dubai’s popular Ramadan Street Food Festival is returning to Karama, offering a wide variety of dishes starting from just Dh5. The fourth edition of the event will run from February 19 to March 18, transforming Sheikh Hamdan Colony and Karama Park into a vibrant food and cultural hub. Entry to the festival, open daily from iftar until 2 am, is free.
Visitors can enjoy everything from kappa and beef, biryani and samosas to juices, pickles and traditional drinks. Organisers expect more than 70,000 visitors this year. The festival will be held in two phases, beginning with decorated restaurant streets from February 19 to 28 and expanding into a full carnival atmosphere from March 1 with live entertainment, storytelling and music.
Community iftars, cultural activities, children’s games and street performances such as tanura dances and magic shows will also be part of the celebrations, making the festival a major highlight of the “Ramadan in Dubai” programme.
