Kuwait Warns Against Begging During Ramadan; Violators Face Deportation

Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has launched a special security campaign to curb begging during the holy month of Ramadan. Patrol teams will monitor markets, mosques and busy public areas to prevent illegal solicitation and related activities.

Authorities warned that expatriates caught begging will be arrested and deported after legal procedures. If those involved are on family or visit visas, sponsors who brought them into the country may also face investigation and possible deportation for violations.

Residents and citizens have been urged to report begging or other illegal activities by calling the emergency number 112. Officials said there will be zero tolerance for violations and that the campaign aims to protect the spirit of Ramadan and uphold public order.
