UAE President Orders Release of 1,440 Prisoners Ahead of Ramadan

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 1,440 prisoners from correctional facilities across the country ahead of Ramadan. The humanitarian gesture aims to give inmates a chance to start a new life and ease the hardship faced by their families.

The President will also settle the financial obligations related to the sentences of those being released. The move is expected to bring relief and joy to many families as the prisoners reunite with loved ones during the holy month.

Officials said the initiative reflects the UAE leadership’s continued focus on compassion, social stability and supporting families during significant occasions.
