UAE prepares phased return to in-person learning for schools and nurseries

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have announced readiness for a gradual return to in-person learning across educational institutions. The Education, Human Resources and Community Development Council confirmed that nurseries will begin reopening in phases starting this week.

Priority will be given to nurseries operating within government buildings and commercial premises, while others may continue offering home-based childcare services in line with approved regulations.

Officials stated that a final decision on whether schools and higher education institutions will adopt in-person or remote learning will be communicated on April 15, 2026. Updates will be shared through official platforms of the Ministry of Education and relevant authorities.

The phased approach is intended to ensure a smooth transition and provide clarity for families, students, and educators across the country.
