Kuwait’s Fire Force has completed preparations to respond to emergencies that could arise during the upcoming rainy season, including flooding and waterlogging caused by heavy rainfall.
Fire Force Chief Lt Gen Talal Al-Roumi personally inspected the emergency response arrangements and equipment prepared for the season to assess the force’s readiness to deal with rain-related incidents.
During the inspection, Al-Roumi reviewed various vehicles and advanced equipment designated for rescue and emergency operations. The preparations include hydraulic water-suction pumps as well as high-capacity electric and mechanical pumps designed to remove accumulated water from affected areas.
Special mobile boats have also been prepared to allow rescue teams to reach flooded areas that may be inaccessible to conventional vehicles.
The Fire Force has equipped its teams with modern systems to locate people trapped inside homes and vehicles and move them to safe locations as quickly as possible.
Al-Roumi also reviewed operational plans designed to ensure that emergency teams can reach affected areas without delay after receiving an alert. He assessed the deployment of equipment and the arrangements in place for different types of rain-related emergencies.
He directed personnel to remain fully prepared to respond to any emergency throughout the rainy season and stressed the importance of protecting lives and property while minimizing potential damage.
The preparations form part of Kuwait’s wider efforts to strengthen emergency response capabilities and improve readiness for heavy rainfall, flooding and other weather-related incidents.
