1780 KUWAITI MEN AND WOMEN MARRIED FOREIGNERS IN 2020

Kuwait City: As per the official figures published by the Central Department of Statistics for documented marriage cases in the year 2020, a total of 1780 Kuwaiti citizens married foreigners. 

Compared to Kuwaiti women, the percentage of Kuwaiti men marrying foreign women is 223% higher (1,293 marriages for male citizens compared to 487 for female citizens).

 The number of marriages between citizens reached 9,481 bringing the total number of marriages officially registered in 2020 to be 11,261.

The data indicate that the highest marriages between Kuwaiti men and women and other nationalities were with those who hold Saudi nationality, at 564 cases, while marriages with non-Arab Asians amount to 158 for male and female citizens.
