Kuwait International Airport has restored normal flight operations after severe weather conditions disrupted air travel. According to Abdullah Al-Rajhi, spokesperson for the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the airport has resumed takeoffs and landings following the stabilization of weather conditions that had caused dense fog and reduced visibility to less than 100 meters.
The disruption, which began in the early morning hours, led to several incoming flights being diverted to neighboring countries' airports as a safety precaution. Al-Rajhi confirmed that the operational situation is now stable, with flights proceeding according to regular schedules through coordination with airlines and relevant authorities.
Officials emphasized that passenger and aircraft safety remains their top priority, with continuous monitoring of weather conditions to ensure air traffic safety. The aviation authority acknowledged the cooperation of airport teams, airlines, and passengers during the temporary disruption, noting that all measures were taken to ensure safety until normal conditions returned.
