Kuwait International Airport has diverted several incoming flights to neighboring countries due to severely reduced visibility caused by heavy fog. Civil Aviation spokesman Abdullah Al-Rajhi confirmed that visibility has dropped below 100 meters, creating unsafe conditions for aircraft takeoffs and landings.
The measure was implemented to ensure the safety of passengers and aircrews. Authorities have stated that flight operations will gradually return to normal once weather conditions improve and visibility increases. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation is continuously monitoring the situation and will provide updates through official channels, emphasizing that these precautions are necessary to ensure safety until normal operations can resume.
