PHILIPPINE EXTENDS TRAVEL BAN TO 10 MORE COUNTRIES

The Philippines has extended the ban on passengers from India and nine other countries till August 31. The COVID-19 task force recommended the ban and President Rodrigo Duterte approved it. This was done to prevent the spread of the Delta variant of the COVID-19 virus.

The travel ban was first imposed on April 27 and has been extended several times and expanded to include Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
