Gulf countries have 520 tonnes of gold deposits

Kuwait : Kuwait ranked second in the Gulf and 43rd globally in terms of gold reserves, with 78.9 tonnes valued at $4.4 billion, while Saudi Arabia continued to lead the Arab and Gulf front with 323.07 tonnes valued at $18.1 billion, and GCC gold reserves accounted for 4.06 percent of total official reserves by the end of the third quarter of 2021.



The Gulf states' gold reserves amounted to 519.8 tonnes by the end of September 2021, according to statistics based on data from the World Gold Council, with a total value of $29.12 billion.
The absence of gold in the Gulf states' reserves is due to their official reserves' reliance on a bigger amount of foreign money, with an estimated value of $687.34 billion.
