4,289 Arabs and Asians apply for cleaner jobs at the MoE.

KUWAIT CITY, : According to the most recent educational statistics, the number of applicants for the position of cleaner – a vacancy recently announced by the Ministry of Education – reached 4,289 Arabs and Asians; however, 2,902 (68 percent) of these applicants were excluded from the interview for failing to meet the age and educational certificate requirements, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The daily obtained a copy of the statistics, which also revealed that 1,021 applicants did not attend the personal interview despite applying through the ministry's official website, and 82 were excluded from the interview for failing to present a waiver letter from their sponsors. According to statistics, the relevant committees interviewed 632 applicants, 316 of whom were women, and 148 of whom passed the interview.
