Kuwaitis who have not received their third dose are unable to travel: Civil Aviation

KUWAIT: Kuwait's Civil Aviation Department issued a decision yesterday prohibiting Kuwaiti citizens who received the second vaccine dose nine months ago from leaving the country until they received the third booster dose.The decision takes effect on January 2.


Kuwaiti citizens who received the second dose nine months or more ago must receive the third vaccine dose in order to travel, according to the department.
The decision comes after the ministerial council declared that those who received the second dose nine months ago are no longer immune to the coronavirus and must receive the third booster shot.

The Department also issued regulations for the entry of expats into Kuwait, stating that expats who have been vaccinated in Kuwait must show proof of vaccination via the Kuwait ID application or Immunity.
