FOR PROVIDING VISAS FOR NEW CONTRACTS, A "SAFETY" PLATFORM BOOKING IS REQUIRED

Kuwait City: Despite Kuwait's announcement that it will allow immunised persons to enter the country regardless of whether they have received two or three doses of vaccine and will eliminate the PCR test, which was previously a requirement, the 'Safety' platform remains a requirement for issuing visas for new contracts, according to the owners of domestic labour recruitment offices. In addition to the 890 dinars in recruitment fees, the new contract holder had to pay 500 dinars in platform fees. The owners claimed that the fee is nonrefundable, and they urged all interested authorities, including health officials, to clarify the decision on institutional quarantine for domestic employees, as well as the new process and requirements for this type of visa, in order to prevent citizen losses.

Meanwhile, according to administrative sources, the Ministry of Social Affairs is expected to resume elections to boards of directors whose legal mandates have expired, whether in cooperative societies or public benefit societies (its civil and charitable wings), soon, especially in light of the start of the fourth wave of the Corona pandemic and the decline in the number of daily infections with the virus. The Ministry's Membership Affairs and Publicity of Societies Department, for its part, stated that it has commenced preparations to re-conduct the elections if the relevant authorities so decide.
