Kuwait City: The Meteorology Department has forecast extremely hot weather for the weekend due to the extension of the Indian monsoon depression, bringing with it a hot and dry air mass. Light to moderate northwesterly winds, occasionally picking up speed, may cause dust storms, especially in exposed areas, and lead to rough sea conditions.
Dharar Al-Ali, acting director of the department, stated that Friday’s weather will be very hot, with northwesterly to variable winds at light to moderate speeds. Daytime highs are expected to range between 46°C and 48°C, while nighttime lows will remain warm, between 30°C and 32°C.
On Saturday, the trend continues with very hot temperatures, reaching 47°C to 49°C. Winds will be northwesterly to variable, sometimes active, increasing the chance of dust in open areas. Some scattered clouds may also appear across the skies.
Residents are advised to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, especially during peak hours, and take precautions due to the dusty conditions and high temperatures.
