KUWAIT INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT'S GOLDEN DAYS HAVE RETURNED

Kuwait City: At Kuwait International Airport, the golden era has returned. The pandemic had slowed the airport to a halt and scared passengers away from flying. T1, T4, and T5 saw a large number of passengers.

Kuwait International Airport will welcome 663,000 passengers via 3,190 flights from February 23 to March 6. There will be 343,000 departures on 1,660 planes, with 320,000 arrivals on 1,530 flights. Mansour Al-Hashemi, Director of the General Administration of Civil Aviation's Operations Department, said that because a large number of passengers would be travelling during the national holidays, a work plan was drawn up with operations, ground service, and airlines to remove all obstacles for travellers (arrivals and departures) and facilitate smooth functioning.

A new schedule was implemented yesterday, which included 33 additional flights. Keeping up with the quantity of passengers who wanted to travel particular sectors was a challenge. Dubai, Sharjah, Istanbul, Mashhad, Najaf, Cairo, Jeddah, and a number of European countries were the most popular travel destinations.

All gates were opened for all airline counters, which included luggage weighing stations and easy access for passengers to board and leave planes. Special vehicles were given for the elderly and those with special requirements.
